Hello again! This week's blog interview is with Jess. If you classify her as your typical fourteen year old and skip her blog because you don't like teen blogs, you'll miss out on some interesting things. It's your call though. Also, if you want to do an interview, shoot me a contact form with your email address and blog URL and I'll get one made up and e-mailed to you. Or just leave me a comment if you want to partake and we'll go for it from there. Come on people! Anyway, here's Jess.....
1. What's your blog about? This is your one and only chance to plug you blog.
My blog's basically about...well...me. My life, my thoughts, my feelings. Not to sound conceited of course.
2. In your blog you say " I think. A lot. Sometimes my ideas scare people (including me)." What's one of the most odd thoughts you've ever had that would surprise people?
Haha...I came up with a theory on dinosaur extinction. Which involves them living in the core of the earth and a reverse-burial which causes their bones to appear on the crust of the earth...but we won't get into that. And there was my hampsters-on-steroids idea to improve global pollution. But serious thoughts? Probably my thoughts on controversial things (abortion, gay marriage, etc....) since most people don't think of kids my age being concerned with those sorts of things.
3. You list your religion as Scientology in your profile. Where you raised to believe this way and if not how did it come to be what you believe in?
I was raised, and confirmed, as a Christian. But I don't really know what my personal religion that I claim myself to be is, so....I basically belive in evolution, and the big bang, and all of that sort. But it's sort of like the chicken-or-the-egg mystery. I feel that the big bang happened, but who/what created everything involved in that? I sort of feel like there's gotta be someone/something out there controlling this all...someone who started it all...not neccesarily a god, but...I'm not sure exactly what this is called.
4. You're in to guitars. Who would you name as the top 5 greatest guitarists ever and why?
In no particular order..
Stevie Ray Vaughan--He was one of the greatest guitarists of all time. He put such emotion into his instrument...it's unbelievable. Just listen to his version of Little Wing somtimes. It sings without words.
Jimi Hendrix--Of course. This guy could do things with his guitar that were never even thought of before...He was a pioneer in rock. And all at an age under thirty.
Slash--I love his sound and his influence on rock. He beat Axle Rose's ass...he was the backbone of Guns N Roses, no matter what Axel may think.
B.B. King--Blues started rock. B.B pioneered blues. End of story.
Toni Iommi-He lost about half of the fingertips of his fretting hand, and still managed to play awesomely. Try playing on plastic tips sometimes...there's no feeling in them. Any questions?
5. Have you done the following?
Gone streaking: Almost, but I couldn't deal with getting undressed in front of one of my friends.Hah.
Played the "air guitar" while in the shower: Of course =)
Thrown something at a teacher: only a pencil
Broken any object with your head: A lamp. It hurt pretty bad, and I had to get stitches.
Cursed in front of a parent: Yes, it slipped...my parents are strict about that too, so it ended up sucking for me.
Skipped school: Does playing sick count?
Ate a whole pizza in one sitting: Nope...I'd feel guilty all week.
6. What's the coolest gift anyone has given you?
Probably my guitar, as a materialistic gift...as for other types, I'm not sure.
7. Word Association. I say the word, you respond with the first word or phrase that comes to your mind.
Apple Sauce: Fruit
Ice: Burn
Garden: Purple
Pickle: Dill
Gothic: Hypocrites
Prom: Go broke
Zombie: Gray
Jennifer Lopez: 12 gauge
Pick: Strings
Mars: Venus
8. As punishment for spoiled celebrities, a judge rules they have to spend exactly one year in a "normal" life. You have to be a host and share your room with them for the whole year. They have to do everything that you do and you have next to no privacy for the whole
year. Your new roomate is going to be Jessica Simpson. Your alternative option is to wear the same outfit every single day for a year, without washing it. Your prize for completeing one of these is 5 million dollars. Which would you rather do and why?
Damn...that is tough. I would probably wear the same outfit every day, but be sure to stock up on my favorite bodyspray beforehand.
9. Take a walk down Memory Lane. Please share your fondest memory about the following dates...
1993: I french kissed a one year old (I was only two at the time...got the picture and everything ;)
1994: lived in Celina; My godfather from Germany came...
1997: My first year of school--Kindergarten!!
1998: Ted moved in
2001: 5th grade memories...wow...
2003: first year at the middle school =)
2004: The Fair...actually, the entire summer
Monday: getting up at two am, and realizing I could go back to sleep for 3 hours
10. Parting Words from Jess....
Last person that called you: Zach
Last drink you had: Regular-water; alchoholic-strawberry margarita
Last time you watched cartoons: Oh man...it's been a while, I'm sad to say
